My top 20 Disney songs

As you may or may not know, I work in the Disney Store in Aberdeen. I've been asked many, many, many times 'What's your favourite Disney movie of all time?' I can never come up with a definite answer, it's too hard. So, instead I'll give you my favourite Disney songs. This was actually so tough too!

But here they are, some you might have forgotten about and hopefully give you awesome magical memories! The majority of the songs are nostalgic for me of being a child, being so engrossed in the films. It's funny, I used to hate the songs when I was a kid and just wanted to follow the story. How things have changed now! With working at the store for almost three years, I've got new memories of the songs/films and listening to them over and over again. (I swear I've listening to 'Let it go' 70? 80? times, ha!

I would love to know everyones favourite Disney song or film, everybody has one!

Tatty Devine - Divine indeed

I'm not sure where or how I found this wonderful jewellery, but I can't stop stalking their website for their new collection.

Tatty Devine is an independent British company who design original jewellery in the heart of London and Kent. They now own two stores on Brick Lane and Monmouth Street (please come to Scotland). All their jewellery is colourful, fun and all made from scratch.

I had to purchase the 'Name necklace' where you can personalise your name or any word, big or small with a charm. They also have the 'Say Anything' necklace - cool idea huh? That's for my next pay check!

I picked the 'bubble gum pink' along with a tiny wee skull with the silver chin. I kinda wish I got it larger. However, it's perfect the way it is. To me, it feels like my 'Carrie' necklace.

When I was down in Edinburgh for the weekend. Where I stayed in the wonderful gothic, Witchery. I was browsing a few shops beside the Grassmarket and came across Tatty Devine items that were on sale! Guess what happened next..

I couldn't resist and bought the 'La Luna' necklace. The great thing about their items is that they are great quality and big 'statement' pieces. Although some items are pretty damn pricey, they are beautiful and a must have.

There are so many fabulous necklaces, rings and earrings that I desperately want. If you're feeling generous...  see that dinosaur necklace they sell...

The perfect red velvet

I will never be far without lipstick. Either a shade of red or pink (my favourites) will have graced my lips. It is my must have beauty product for all occasions. But trying to find the right one has been a long expensive process. But just yesterday I found the most heavenly vampy red.

It could be pretty possible I own nearly all VIVA GLAM lipsticks (even Nicki Minaj' range) so as soon as I found RuPaul is back, I couldn't resist. RuPaul was the the first ambassador for VIVA GLAM all the way back in 1994. The selling price for the items go straight to funds to help men, women and children who are affected with HIV/AIDS.

If you're looking for a red that isn't crazy bright or too dark because you're as pale as me, this is for you. Although this is a deep red, sort of burgundy. I promise you this colour is nothing but fabulous. Plus you're doing a good deed for charity.

At only £15.00 - you can find this at your nearest MAC counter or online! Would you believe me if I told you that this is cheap for me as of recently? I've been purchasing Limecrime and Chanel which my balance doesn't thank me for. Oops!
I'm still to find a perfect shade of pink that isn't Limecrime. Those god damn Velvetines are delicious. Feel free to comment your lovely lipstick choices or recommend me colours to try. Any excuse to purchase more lipstick, right?

I promise I won't leave massive gaps between blogging. Pinky swear.

2014 - The year of doing stuff I wanna do

Last year wasn't up to much, or is it just me? At the beginning of last year, I was working at Glasgow Film Festival for placement. It was a good start to the year but then everything got hectic, third year was a bitch. Why would you let third year students organise an event?! My motivation went to zero and the only plans I had was Paris for my 21st. So much for creating a big year for myself!

I'm determined (I say this every year) to make this year something awesome. It is my last year of uni for goodness sake, gotta live for at least a second before going to full time work. That's if I even get a job at the end of my degree. Cry cry cry.

The biggest plan that I've made this year is Florida in October. Yay Disneyland/Universal and my birthday in one month! Let's exclude that month or I'll be a really poor graduate. The first instinct is to travel, who doesn't want to travel the world, discover places, people and culture. It's kinda what we live for.

This year might be the year of festivals for me. Low key festivals that are affordable and reachable. So far I've got FrightFest at GFF in February/March. Watching horror for a whole weekend - please and thank you! As I've kinda got a dissertation due in April, I'm going to exclude that month too.

As always, the Edinburgh International film and Fringe festival will be coming up in July/August. I'm going to try my best to be part or visit these festivals too. Until you've seen and been to Edinburgh during a festival, don't doubt it's potential for a great weekend away. The city comes alive with performances down the Royal Mile, cool bars appear out of nowhere and everyone seems a lot more friendlier.

Maybe push it further and try to head to London to FrightFest in September. I'm a big fan of horror!

One day I hope for something similar to happen for Aberdeen. Film/theatre/music - ANYTHING.

Okay, let's go

Since I was sixteen, I've made hundreds of blogs from Tumblr, Myspace, Bebo etc. Never quite stuck to all of them. Here goes nothing. For real this time. I mean it!

Few things this blog will consist of is my interests, only mine. No influence from anyone else. Hope I've made that clear...

Right, so, uhm...

I'm Kimberly. Not Kimberley or Kymberly. Occasionally Kim to a few close acquaintances. I'm joking. I'm not that bothered, just don't put that extra e in my name, okay?!

Let's begin with what my life revolves around at the moment -

I'm going to put Uni first as I should be studying for my Postmodern exam thats a week away. But I needed a break from writing and my brain feels like it could quite possibly explode.
I'm currently studying Communications with Public Relations. I first started off at Aberdeen College studying Advertising and Public Relations which was fantastic. It lead me into third year at Robert Gordons Business school. It has its up and downs. I just can't stand fourth year, she's a bitch. Probably cause it entails working REALLY hard, being academic and a thesis at the end of the April. Gross.

Although, I know how to make my life easier and interesting. Since I work at the Disney Store, love Disney and know hella a lot about it.. somehow managed to make my thesis about Disney Princesses.

When I get properly into my research, I'll share more about it then.

I said I work at the Disney store, it's been two years and four months exactly. It's a big part of my life which I'm lucky enough to say. Who would of though a part-time job would make such a big influence in my life. I've met incredible friends through this company. I would say these friends are more of a family. Thats what's great about working there. We're a little family, that work hard together and all have the same interest in Disney. Especially Olaf, we all love Olaf.

I wouldn't say I have hobbies, does cinema count? I've got an unlimited card at Cineworld so y'know, I go a lot. I really liked that American hustle film. The one with Christian Bale and Jennifer Lawrence? She's funny her. Jennifer is as real as it comes. I know all celebrities are real human beings. Sometimes it just feels like they aren't. With the flash lifestyle and how perfected it has to be or it'll ruin their reputation. Jennifer kinda just puts it all out there. Swears, cries, falls over.. she still manages to look god damn pretty when she does it too but you get where I'm going with this.

I'm going to come to an end with this as I'm trying to eat a chicken nugget wrap, type and Ralph (my beagle) is standing on my stomach to have a bite.
